Year 6 at Holland Park Opera
Opera Holland Park
On Wednesday, Year 6 took full advantage of the amazing weather by travelling to Holland Park to attend the opera to see the critically acclaimed Eugene Onegin originally composed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Although performed in Russian (with English subtitles overhead), the children got really engaged with the story which concerns a selfish hero who lives to regret his blasé rejection of a young woman's love and his careless incitement of a fatal duel with his best friend. A very special day for them all, as it was their first visit to the opera - but hopefully not the last.
