African Drumming Workshops
Today we were lucky enough to have a workshops run for all classes Years 1- 6 by African Activities. Kwame arrived at our school this morning with a van loaded full of artefacts, instruments and art supplies ready for the day. We played drums, heard stories, tried adrinkra printing and made trade beads. Year 5 even got to have a go at African sculpture and pottery.
Every class enjoyed their activities and it was a brilliant way to round up our Black History Month celebrations.
