St John XXIII Catholic Primary School Inspiring Faith in our Future

Autumn 1

We know starting school can be a very daunting time for young children. In reception, we make sure our children are met with warm and friendly adults, cosy spaces, intriguing provisions and opportunities to play, play play! See how our little ones have settled in below.

Have a look at how we have been developing our larger muscle groups!

The muscles in our hands and fingers are so important for writing. In reception, we take part in many activities that strengthen these vital little muscles.

In Autumn term we have started by matching, sorting and comparing objects and amounts.

To start our Autumn term, we began by focussing on the story 'Owl Babies' by Martin Waddell.
