Will my child participate in masses and prayer services?

Yes, all pupils are invited to participate in daily prayers, hymn practices, masses and whole school liturgies.

If pupils do not want to be fully engaged in an Act of Worship, they may be withdrawn and are not expected to follow the actions and words of prayers.

Although some pupils may not fully engage, due to staffing constraints, pupils will still be present during prayers, masses and liturgies and will be asked to be respectful of this time of reflection. In some cases, this may appear in the form of reading quietly or meditating on their own thoughts and reflections of the day.

The Catholic faith is rooted in Gospel values which support all pupils in growing into well rounded citizens of our world where they show care and respect for each other the world in which God gave us.
