St John XXIII Catholic Primary School Inspiring Faith in our Future

Year 4 Mudlarks

Yesterday, the Year 4 class embarked on a unique adventure as part of the Mudlark's project: kayaking! Instead of just learning about recycling in the classroom, they took to the water to see the impact of waste firsthand. Paddling along the local river, the children collected litter and debris, turning a fun activity into a valuable lesson about protecting our waterways and the importance of keeping our environment clean for everyone. The experience gave them a new perspective on the Mudlark's project and the real-world difference they can make. This was a very rewarding trip, and many local people thanked the students for the wonderful work they did.
