Year 1 Trip to Kew Gardens
On Friday 6th June, Year 1 went on their school trip to Kew Gardens!
The day begun with great excitement to board the bus to Kew Gardens.
On arrival, the children walked through the beautiful grounds, exploring the variety of blossoming flowers and plants. They thought carefully about their learning in Science (Plants) by discussing the needs of a plant and the different types of trees. The children were particularly keen to collect a range of leaves that had fallen.
The children also visited an Art gallery on site, displaying a variety of wonderful landscape paintings. This linked to their learning of Landscapes in Art.
Overall, the children had a fantastic day!
