This term we have continued learning about puppets. Every week we worked on making the puppets and today we had our very own puppet show in the classroom. We had so much fun exploring shadows and shadow puppets using torches!
This term we have been reading the book 'One day in our blue planet in the savannah'. We have been exploring nocturnal and diurnal animals in the savannah and using our adjectives to describe those.
Today our task was to write a script for an African Savannah video. We each took turns in reading one sentence whilst the video was playing in the background. We had so much fun!!
To end our 'Plants' topic, we went to plant wild flower seeds in the Peace Garden and in the flower beds on the playground. We were so excited to plant seeds and even more excited to see it growing!!
After Pope Francis passed away on Easter Monday, we took time in class to reflect on his life and legacy and to understand the Conclave.
In Year 1, we learnt about Pope Francis' life and legacy and then we made a collage that can be seen on the window of our classroom.
We also gained some understanding about the Conclave and the possible future Pope. Our activity was to think about what qualities we think it is important to have to be a Pope.
