Spring 1
Steam Day - States of Matter
This term, Year 4 has been diving into the fascinating world of States of Matter. Through hands-on experiments, students have explored the properties of solids, liquids, and gases, and how they can change from one state to another. One of our favorite activities involved melting chocolate to observe how heat transforms a solid into a liquid, which we then used to decorate biscuits! Another exciting experiment demonstrated how air pressure can move water between connected bottles, helping us understand the behavior of liquids and gases. These engaging activities not only brought science to life but also encouraged curiosity, teamwork, and critical thinking. Year 4 has truly enjoyed discovering the science behind everyday materials!
