Pupil chaplains play a vital role in the spiritual life of St. John XXIII. They help to promote the school’s mission and Gospel values through prayer, worship and service. They act as role models of faith, encouraging others to live out Christian values in their daily lives. Through their leadership and dedication, pupil chaplains help foster a caring, inclusive environment where every member of the school community feels valued, supported and inspired by the teachings of Christ.
This year, working alongside staff and clergy, they will:
- assist in preparing liturgies
- lead class and whole-school collective worship
- support the religious life of the school
- contribute to displays demonstrating our Catholic Social Teachings being lived out at St. John XXIII
- continue our Jubilee Year 'Pilgrims of Hope' prayer and celebration
Our Pupil Chaplains for this academic year 2025-2026 are Mathilda, Jeremiah, Michael, Ariam, Jeron, Alexandra, Santi, Gabriel and Mary.
If you would like to join the Pupil Chaplains, please speak to Miss Finnerty.
