On Friday, 10th October, our school community gathered in the Church to celebrate a heartfelt Mass in honour of the feast of St John XXIII. This significant occasion served not only as a spiritual gathering but also as a celebration of our school’s unity and commitment to the values that St John XXIII epitomised.
The Mass was led by our Year 5 pupils, who demonstrated remarkable leadership and enthusiasm as they took on the roles of readers. Their clear and confident delivery of the readings provided meaningful reflections for all in attendance, reinforcing the teachings and virtues that St John XXIII advocated throughout his life. The engagement and poise exhibited by the Year 5 students truly reflected the spirit of our school’s mission.
Further enhancing the reverential atmosphere of the Mass, the Year 5 members of the choir sang beautifully. Their harmonious voices filled the chapel, creating an uplifting and inspiring sound that resonated with everyone present. The selection of hymns was particularly poignant, encouraging reflection and participation from the congregation. It is moments like these that illustrate the talent and dedication of our students and staff, fostering a deep sense of community spirit within our school.
We were delighted to see so many members of our parent community join us for this special occasion. Their presence is always cherished and plays an integral role in the vibrancy of our school environment. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who attended and contributed to making this Mass an uplifting and memorable experience.
As we move forward, let us carry forth the teachings of St John XXIII in our daily lives, nurturing a sense of compassion and love for one another within our school community and beyond.
