As ever, we celebrated the fest of Corpsus Christi in our parish church of Our Lady of Fatima with a whole school Mass on Friday. The Mass always reminds us of the cruciality of the Eucharist in our lives and the strength we can receive from truly accepting Jesus in our lives.
The introduction of the mass, read by pupils from Year 3 reminds us of the words of Blessed Carlos Acutis: ‘If we stand in front of the sun, we get tanned: if we place our selves in front of The Eucharist, we become saints.’
After Mass we took part in an adoration of The Sacrament with Fr. Richard and Fr. Ephrem who led us to four stations in the playground to symbolise the four corners of the world that need Christ so much at this time. It was a truly special celebration and an important part of our liturgical calendar. Thank you to Father Richard and Ephrem for helping us focus ourselves on the miracle of The Eucharist.
