Accessibility Plans
The Equality Act 2010 mandates that all schools in the UK must have an accessibility plan. This plan outlines how the school will improve access for disabled pupils in terms of curriculum participation, the physical environment, and information provision. It builds upon previous legislation, including the Disability Discrimination Act, and requires schools to proactively address potential barriers to inclusion.

Key Principles:
The accessibility plan should be aligned with the same key principles as the Local Authority's accessibility strategy.
Reasonable Adjustments:
Schools are also required to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that disabled pupils are not discriminated against and can fully participate in school life.
Review and Update:
Accessibility plans must be reviewed at least every three years and updated as needed to reflect the school's ongoing efforts to improve accessibility.
