Year 6 STEAM Day
STEM Day
This week, Year 6 took part in a STEM challenge day. Building a model national grid helped us understand how electricity is provided across the country. We were tasked with building a model wind turbine that could be a solution to provide energy in parts of the world that have limited access to electricity such as Peru. We worked in groups and demonstrated great collaboration and teamwork skills. Not all of our models worked as we'd planned but we reflected on the designs and thought about what we would do differently next time and how we would improve them.
We also showed what great speaking and listening skills we have developed throughout our time at school when presenting our models to the rest of our class.
Watch out for some future STEM stars who might just change the world!
