St John XXIII Catholic Primary School Inspiring Faith in our Future

Spring 2

Over Science week we conducted a variety of experiments. One of our favourite investigations was the 'String Telephone Experiment'. In this activity, your voice vibrates the air inside the cup, which are then transferred to the bottom of the cup. The bottom of the cup passes the sound waves to the string, and so on to the other cup. You can hear surprisingly far using a string telephone if help the right way!

Thursday 23rd February 2023

Today was our Tudor Experience Day. We had so much fun dressing up in our finest Tudor clothing and were ready to celebrate in style! To kickstart the day, we worked in teams to create and perform our very own Tudor dances, along to some traditional Tudor music. Following this, we played a popular Tudor children's game called 'Nine Men's Morris'. We found this very fun! Our afternoon was spent designing and crafting our very own Tudor Houses - not only using the many resources we brought in, but digitally on the computers too. Have a look through our gallery to see how they turned out!
