St John XXIII Catholic Primary School Inspiring Faith in our Future

Year 5 London Eye Trip

On Wednesday Year 5 visited the London Eye to continue our investigations into the disappearance of Salim from the story we are reading 'The London Eye Mystery' by Siobhan Dowd.

We began the day on a River Cruise from The London Eye Pier up to Tower Bridge and back. It was great to see all the sights from the River and check out some of the other locations from our book. We particularly enjoyed going under all the different bridges.

Once we returned to The Eye, we boarded our capsules and took flight. We ate our lunch on The Eye and enjoyed the views before getting our photo taken and returning to Earth.

To mark the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, we then walked up to Buckingham Palace through Horse Guards Parade and St James' Park.

A great day was had by all, despite the weather and many of the children inexplicably leaving their coats at school.
