Poetry Week
On Thursday 5 October 2023, we celebrated National Poetry Day, which this year focuses on the theme of refuge. Children throughout the school produced some wonderful poetry on this theme to mark the occasion.
Years 4, 5 and 6 have also been invited to enter the National Poetry Competition for children aged between 8 and 11 years old. The aim is to write a poem about how you can find refuge or a safe place to express yourself in your voice through your writing. We have been very impressed with the entries so far and look forward to receiving more entries!
