St John XXIII Catholic Primary School Inspiring Faith in our Future

Summer 1

Year 3M Summer Assembly

Year 3M summed up all our lovely learning with a trip down memory lane - they spoke about all their hard work, and gave us an experience of all their different cultures with prayers from the many nationalities in their classroom. They finished on a high note, quite literally - with a rendition of Vance Joy's 'Riptide'!

Year 3M have worked so hard this year and this was clear from their fabulous performance. Well done 3M.

Possibly the highlight of the year for many of our children - our trip to Kidzania!

DT - Moving Posters

Year 3 have been learning all about levers and linkages this half-term. We've looked at how levers and linkages are used in everyday inventions and have created our own.

Roman Numerals

Something new for Year 3, we discussed Roman numerals and then matched them to the numerals we use every day.

Telling Time

Year 3 will be keeping tabs on the time for all of us. We've been learning how to tell the time!

Eastertide Learning

A very important festival in our church calendar. The children spent time learning about the important events that occur during Lent and Holy Week, why we celebrate and how we as Christians celebrate these important church events.

Coronation Celebrations

A fun day in the sun!

Born to Be Wild - London Wetlands Trip

Year 3 were fortunate enough to visit the London Wetlands, experience an exciting journey through forestry and see flora and fauna. Thankfully the weather held out for both classes!

Spirituality Week - Prayer Stations

This week is Spirituality Week, where the children spend time focusing on their faith and strengthening their relationship with God. The children spent some time at individual prayer stations, reflecting on various aspects of their faith and thanking God for all He gives us.

Sporty Spice

Dust off the cobwebs with some physical activity! At least Year Three did on the first day back.

Music Maestro!

Nothing like a bit of ukulele to kick off the Summer term. Almost makes you think you're abroad!
