St John XXIII Catholic Primary School Inspiring Faith in our Future

Year 4 Gallery Autumn 2

We were full of excitement as we arrived at school on Thursday to see our coach driver Andy waiting patiently outside school for our trip. We set off to Woburn Safari Park at 9am sharp. After an hour of singing some of our favourite songs, we arrived at Woburn and began our first activity - the drive through safari! During this, we saw rhinos, giraffes, some lions eating their breakfast and even some monkeys who jumped up onto the roof of our coach! It was amazing. We were lucky to have a meerkat workshop as well as another safari by foot. We ended this fun day in a soft play area, racing our class mates down the slides!

No Waste Jose

We were visited by Marcela and Juliana from No Waste Jose who spoke to us about COP-26 and ways we can reduce single-use plastic consumption.

In line with COP 26 we designed a sustainable outfit created purely from recyclable goods. We designed and created the outfits all by ourselves and our two models from each class strutted our creations down the catwalk with pride.

Maths Challenges

In Maths this term we have been working really hard on our problem solving skills for multiplication and division. We worked as a team to solve the tricky questions Ms McCagh and Ms Rawlings presented us with.
