St John XXIII Catholic Primary School Inspiring Faith in our Future

Summer 2

Year 4 - Sporting Event

Following the cancellation of Sports Day due to bad weather, Year 4 decided to make up for it by hosting our own version in our local park! We had lots of fun participating in sprinting races, three-legged races, the javelin and more! Overall, we had great fun.

Ancient Maya Experience Day

We absolutely loved learning about the life of the Ancient Mayans and were fascinated with the ways in which they lived their lives. For our school experience day we built our own version of the famous wonder of the world 'Chichen Itza', we designed our own Mayan buildings online and even created our own Maya inspired music on Charanga!

Author Visit

We were very lucky to meet with the author of the Marcus Rashford books 'The Breakfast Club Adventures', Alex Falase-Koya! He spoke to us about his childhood, his passion for writing and even gave us each a signed copy of his latest book to take home.

In PE this Summer Term, we have had great fun and enjoyment in developing our Tennis skills!
