The Well-Being Ambassadors are a group of Year 5 and 6 children who have dedicated themselves to championing and improving the mental health and well-being of all the children in our school. We are very excited to introduce you to this amazing team, the first of its kind in our school.

As part of Mind's youth-led mental health and well-being project, our ambassadors were trained and are supported by Mind's Mental Health Support Team (MHST). In school they work alongside Mr Bloomfield to raise the profile of mental health and act as role models and ambassadors for positive well-being.

Our 12 Ambassadors went through a rigorous application process and have now completed their Well-Being Ambassador training. The training was led by Amy from the mental health charity Mind and over the course of two days the children learnt all about mental health, how they can support the well-being of their peers and practised the skills they would need as Well-Being Ambassadors. They studied the 5 ways to well-being and learnt about mental health stigma and its effects. The children also shared all of their brilliant ideas for things we can be doing in and around school to improve the well-being of our entire school community.

Our friendly Well-Being Ambassadors are all proudly wearing their badges so look out for them around school. If you have a problem, are worried about something or just need someone to listen, then be sure to approach one of them.
