My Twist on a Tale - National Writing Competition
In the Autumn term, children in our school entered a national writing competition to write a ‘Twisted Tale’. This is a fairy tale with a twist and the theme this year was 'representation'. It was a pleasure to receive so many entries across years 1-6 for this competition and all who participated received a certificate from Pearson. (Have a scroll through the pictures to read some of our fantastic entries!)
One of our children however, Maria in Year 1, was the overall winner of the Key Stage 1 competition.
Her fantastic writing was shared with the whole school in our assembly.
Her story will be published into a real book, illustrated and recorded by a professional voiceover artist too!
As a prize for her wonderful achievement, she received a certificate and £100 book vouchers! If you have a moment, you can read the story below.
