St John XXIII Catholic Primary School Inspiring Faith in our Future

Mental Health and Wellbeing Award

Here at St John XXIII Catholic Primary School, we value the Emotional Well-being and Mental Health (EWMH) of all our children and staff. We want our school to be a place where children and adults feel safe and comfortable talking about their feelings and concerns.

Below you will find some information regarding EWMH at St John XXIII and what you can do if you are experiencing poor mental health.

The Mental Health Support Team for Schools

This is a service operated with Hammersmith and Fulham MIND who work across some schools to deliver evidence-based interventions to support young people with mild to moderate mental health issues.

Through our work with the MHST project we are able to offer personalised face to face work delivering effective brief, low-intensity interventions for young people  (and for the parents of primary school children) who are experiencing anxiety, low mood, friendship or behavioural difficulties.

All parents in school are able to self-refer to this project by using the link below.

Please contact Mrs Gilmartin if you have any queries.
