The final half term in Year 5 has been as busy as any other. Have a look through our photographs to see what we have been up to.
We enjoyed a virtual author visit from David O'Doherty to celebrate his new book: 'The Summer I Robbed A Bank'. Check out our twitter to see our conversation with him.
Children in Years 5 and 6 were lucky enough to complete levels 1 and 2 of the bikeability training. Rain only stopped play once.
We enjoyed reading with governors throughout the school this half term. Year 5 was no different.
We enjoyed trialing a resource called now press play this half term. It involved listen to stories, drama and sound effects to immerse the children into a range of different topics. We ended up in an Anglo Saxon Village without leaving W13! Check out their website to find out more https://nowpressplay.co.uk/
Each week QPR have come into school to deliver the 'Move:Fit' project with us. We have learnt about how to keep fit and eat a healthy diet to help us feel our best.
Mrs Cunnigham organised a fantastic summer fair for all the children this term. We tried lazer tag, bouncy castles, a pop up beach, a brilliant water fight and making arts and crafts. A great time was had by all!
We had sports day over two days and tried lots of events before the races. We tried long jump, javelin, team races, tennis, skittle ball and even yoga.
For our whole class STEAM challenge we had to research, design and build a boat from recycled materials. The research was extremely tricky.
